What Else Can You Do to Meet Your Fitness Goals?

Updated: Jan 19

What else can you do to set yourself up for success?

  • Incorporate exercise into your daily life – use the car less, take the stairs, take a longer route home, park the car further away. Don’t limit your approach to a healthier lifestyle to just completing your workouts.

  • Plan your time – set aside time in your schedule for your workouts. You are far more likely to stick to a routine. Routine becomes habit!

  • Find a balance – missing one workout doesn’t mean you’ve failed.

  • Review where you are - You’ll need to review your plan as your reach your goals. Don’t be disappointed if you need to take a step back if needed – set backs can happen, keep your eye on the long term plan and progress you have made from your starting point!

  • Use your time effectively – Break a 30 minute workout into smaller tasks throughout the day. Get some stretches in to kick start your day in whilst waiting for the kettle to boil.

  • Invest in a fitness tracker – use technology to keep you on track and get reminders to motivate you. A visual indicator on your wrist if a great way to see how you can improve.

  • Is music important to you? Choosing a class or workout that uses music that you like can motivate you, make your workout far more enjoyable and make it fly by!

  • Join groups! Seek out a group of likeminded people for support and motivation, whether online or face to face.

  • Ensure you take rest days – recovery is just as important.
